HGW 1:72 Ki-84 Frank Basic Line is an add-on set of fine details for a model of the Japanese Nakajima Ki-84 fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane kit, but an accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Basic Line range of the Czech manufacturer HGW is intended for detailing a model of the Japanese Nakajima Ki-84 fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory for a kit, not the model itself. The sets of this range aim at fine parts that cannot be molded in plastic in a small scale in scale thickness, typically for the cockpit area. The exact composition differs between individual sets according to the real subject.
The Nakajima Ki-84, in Japanese Hayate, was a late fighter of the Japanese Army Air Force with a powerful Nakajima Ha-45 radial engine. Compared with the older Japanese types it had better armor, self-sealing tanks and markedly stronger armament, so it belonged among the most advanced Japanese production fighters of the end of the war in terms of performance. The quality of the production machines did, however, fluctuate with the state of manufacture and the availability of material. The Allies assigned the type the code name Frank.
Work over a surface with a raised edge. Curve the fabric items in your fingers and seat them with a natural sag, so that they stand straight in the air nowhere. Cut the photo-etched parts off with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, deburr them with a fine file and bend them in a photo-etch bending tool or between two steel rulers; degrease the metal and cover it with a primer before painting. If masks are part of the set, stick them on with tweezers, press the edges down and remove them before the paint has fully cured.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
