Ki-84 Hayate exhausts (3D printed), 1:72, Eduard is a resin detail set of the exhaust stacks for models of the Japanese Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Eduard is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model. It contains 3D printed exhaust stacks for a model of the Japanese Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate fighter in 1:72 scale. The print faithfully captures the shape of the individual exhaust pipes and the suggested openings, which injected plastic renders in a simplified way.
The Ki-84 Hayate was powered by the powerful eighteen-cylinder Nakajima Homare radial engine. The rows of exhausts along the sides of the engine cowling are among its striking recognition features, and rendering them faithfully brings the front of the model to life, especially with burnt tones and smoke staining.
Wash the parts to remove uncured resin residue and separate them carefully from the print supports. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the exhausts in metallic and rusty shades, grade the transitions and add dark pigments. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
