The KrAZ-255B was a Soviet heavy off-road truck with 6x6 drive, built in Kremenchuk in Ukraine. It stood out for its large off-road tires, high cross-country ability and a rugged structure meant for the hardest conditions. It was used in the civil and the military sphere, for carrying cargo and troops, as a tractor and as a chassis for a range of specialized bodies. Thanks to its payload and its cross-country ability it was one of the mainstays of Soviet logistics.
First assemble and paint the chassis, the axles and the frame before you finish the cab and the cargo bed. Cut the small plastic parts away carefully and glue them with thin modeling cement for plastic; attach the photo-etched and 3D-printed parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and move them with tweezers. Apply a primer and the base color with an airbrush, and put the decals on over gloss varnish. Bring out the panel lines with a wash and use pigments to create pronounced mud and dust effects on the tires, the chassis and the underside of the bed.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
