A photo-etched set for the interior of the Avro Lancaster B Mk.I and B Mk.III in 1:72 scale. It supplements the kit with thin metal parts that cannot be made from injection-molded plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Avro Lancaster was a British four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War and the main machine of the night raids of Bomber Command. Under the fuselage it had a long bomb bay, and the crew worked in a narrow space crossed by the main wing spar. The designations B Mk.I and B Mk.III distinguished the machines by their Merlin power plants, that is, Rolls-Royce V-12s. The set is intended for both designations.
Photo-etched metal parts for the interior spaces of a model in 1:72 scale. Photo-etch makes it possible to produce thin bulkheads, brackets, belts and instrument panels in a thickness injection-molded plastic cannot reach. The exact list of parts and the kit the set is cut for are given by the manufacturer's instructions. The model itself is not included.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and sand the remaining tabs down carefully. Make the bends in a bending tool or over a metal ruler laid against the line, so that the edge is sharp and the part does not bow. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with a two-part epoxy; ordinary cement for plastic models does not hold on metal. Before painting, degrease the parts and go over them with a primer, otherwise the finish will wipe off smooth metal during the build.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
