Resin air intakes for the Avro Lancaster B.1/B.III in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Quickboost (Aires) — an accurate replacement for the plastic parts from the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail part for more experienced modelers, not an airplane model. The precisely cast air intakes replace the plastic parts from the kit of the British Avro Lancaster bomber in the B.1 and B.III versions in 1:72 scale. The resin version has a more faithful shape and cleaner intake mouths than injection-molded plastic. The accessory is made by the Czech brand Quickboost (Aires).
The Avro Lancaster was a British four-engine heavy night bomber of the RAF in the Second World War. The B.1 and B.III versions differed mainly in the origin of their Rolls-Royce Merlin engines (British and American license-built Packard respectively), and were otherwise very similar. This set brings the cooling and carburetor air intakes on the engine nacelles into a more faithful form.
First wash the part in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue from the mold disappears. Cut the casting block off with a cutter or a saw, sand the mating surface and fit the intakes with cyanoacrylate glue. When sanding resin, protect your airways with a respirator and ventilate. Apply a primer before painting.
An accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
