Resin machine gun barrels with a perforated jacket for the Lancaster in 1:72 scale from the Quickboost brand - an accurate detail accessory; this is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Resin machine gun barrels with a round perforated jacket of the Quickboost brand for the British Avro Lancaster heavy bomber in 1:72 scale. This is not an airplane model but an accurate replacement part for more experienced modelers that takes the place of the plastic barrels from the defensive turrets with castings with faithfully marked cooling holes. The barrels projecting from the turrets are visible from a distance, and a fine casting markedly lifts the impression of a model.
The Lancaster was a British four-engine night bomber of the Second World War, defended by machine guns in the nose, dorsal and tail turrets. The barrels have a characteristic round perforated cooling jacket, which in plastic is molded only in a simplified way and without the holes. The resin replacement offers a crisp, faithful rendering of the perforation. The part is meant to refine an existing Lancaster model in the same scale.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove any mold release residue from the mold. Cut the thin barrels carefully off the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a fine saw and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the barrels in a dark metallic shade and glue them on only at the end of the build, so that they do not get bent.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
