A resin set that is not a model in its own right but a replacement for the landing gear wheels. It holds the main wheels and the tailwheel for models of the British four-engine Avro Lancaster bomber in 1:72 scale. The resin wheels have a faithful tire tread, a detailed hub and a slight flat spot imitating the load; masks for painting and small photo-etched parts are often included.
The Avro Lancaster was the most important British heavy night bomber of the Second World War. It carried a large bomb load and became famous, among other things, for the raid on the German dams. The robust main landing gear with its large wheels is a prominent feature of every model.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray both tire and hub with an airbrush through the enclosed masks; orient the flat spot correctly downward.
