An injection-molded plastic kit of the Laffly W15T light cross-country tractor in 1:72 scale from ACE. It is a short-run kit, which may also hold fine extra parts. The vehicle is sometimes listed under the German designation Leichter Radschlepper, because captured examples were used by the German army as well.
The Laffly W15T was a French light cross-country vehicle with drive to several axles, used at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s among other things as a tractor for anti-tank guns and as a reconnaissance vehicle. It was notable for the auxiliary wheels that made crossing rough ground easier. After 1940 some of the captured vehicles went on serving in other armies.
Short-run sets call for careful cleaning up of the parts and dry-fitting before gluing. Use thin cement for the plastic and super glue for the fine parts. Apply a primer before painting, and washes and pigments will complete the patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
