Resin correct engine cowlings for the Lockheed Hudson Mk.IV/V 1:72 from Aires/Quickboost. A detail replacement for the engine cowlings with a more accurate shape.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the aircraft aftermarket maker Aires/Quickboost is a resin replacement for the engine cowlings of a model of the twin-engine Lockheed Hudson Mk.IV/V in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane kit, but a detail accessory that replaces the shape-simplified plastic cowlings from the base kit with more faithfully cast parts with the correct geometry. The exact shape of the engine cowlings strongly affects the look of the engine nacelles.
The Lockheed Hudson was an American twin-engine maritime patrol and light bomber aircraft (derived from the Model 14 airliner), used during the Second World War by British and Allied air forces. It was powered by air-cooled radial engines whose cowlings are among the striking elements on a model.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is best to fit the cowlings dry and fine-tune the fit with the nacelles before painting; the edges stand out once brought out.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
