This item is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory: a resin boarding ladder in the extended, that is open, position for a model of the F-35 A/B/C Lightning II in 1:72 scale. The set is intended for the Tamiya kit and is made by Quickboost, a brand of the Czech company Aires. The F-35 kit has to be obtained separately.
The F-35 has its boarding ladder built directly into the fuselage behind the cockpit and in service it swings out. Kits, however, typically offer it only in the closed position as part of the fuselage skin, so the model looks like an aircraft ready for takeoff. This accessory supplies the open, extended version, which lets the model be displayed in a ground scene, with the canopy open, a pilot figure or ground crew. A resin casting can manage the thin rungs and the frame of the ladder in 1:72 scale, which in injection-molded plastic could only be made in a coarser form.
For modelers who build the F-35 in 1:72 scale from the Tamiya kit and want to display the model in a ground scene or a diorama with the ladder open. Because of the work with resin and small parts it is an accessory rather for advanced modelers.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and is intended for a kit that is not included in the package. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Use respiratory protection when sanding resin.
