A jettisonable 300 liter external tank was typical equipment on Luftwaffe fighters such as the Messerschmitt Bf 109 or the Focke-Wulf Fw 190, for extending their range on escort and transfer flights. The tank was carried on a centerline rack.
Separate the tanks from the print supports, wash them free of uncured resin residue and glue them with super glue. The smooth surface of a tank appreciates a good primer; fine-tune the joints and the carried mountings by sanding with respiratory protection.
