1:72 Mask A-1H/J Skyraider EXPERT (HAS)

New Ware 1:72 Mask A-1H and A-1J Skyraider EXPERT

An extended set of self-adhesive masks for the model of the attack airplane Skyraider in the A-1H and A-1J versions, 1:72 scale. The masks are machine-cut and shaped to the parts of the Hasegawa kit. The EXPERT designation means the widest extent of the set the manufacturer offers for this model.

When to reach for a higher step

New Ware has graded its sets by extent, not by difficulty. The basic BASIC deals with the main glazed areas and is enough when you can manage the rest of the masking with tape. EXPERT adds further masking elements, so that you get even what you would otherwise cut by hand ready-made. During the build it tells above all as a saving of time. The exact list of what the sheet holds is given on the packaging.

The real subject

The A-1 Skyraider is a single-engine propeller-driven attack airplane with a radial engine and a rugged structure, able to carry a large load on its racks and to stay in the air for a long time. The A-1H and A-1J versions represent the later production forms of the type. The model has a long glazed cockpit canopy, on which the quality of the masking is apparent at once.

Procedure

• Degrease the clear parts and let them dry in the air, not with a cloth.
• Apply the masks one at a time, taking them with fine-tipped tweezers.
• Press the edges down with a wooden stick, above all where they pass into a curve.
• Spray the interior shade and only then the outer camouflage.
• Lay the paint on perpendicular and in several thin coats.
• Keep the rest of the sheet flat, as it will serve for any respray.

Who the set is for

• Modelers who want masking of the Skyraider ready without additional work.
• Builders of models for a display case or the competition table.
• Those who prefer a wider extent of the set.

This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
