ADVANCED masking set for the F-102A Delta Dagger in 1:72 scale (New Ware)

A masking set of the middle ADVANCED extent from the manufacturer New Ware for the kit of the fighter F-102A Delta Dagger from Meng in 1:72 scale. This is an accessory of precisely cut kabuki tape, not a model. The ADVANCED grade stands between the basic BASIC set and the most complete EXPERT set: beyond the bare essentials it adds further templates, so that it covers more places on the airframe without going to the complete extent.

When to reach for the ADVANCED grade

If you are building the F-102A honestly but do not want to mask absolutely every detail, the middle grade is a sensible compromise between extent and coverage. The Delta Dagger has a large one-piece canopy whose frames are very fine in 1:72 — with a cut template you will spray them at the first attempt. The extra templates beyond the basic set then save work on further areas of the airframe and the landing gear.

Use

• store the sheet of masks lying flat so that the templates do not curl
• carry the small pieces with pointed tweezers and settle them according to the frames
• always press the edges down — with an airbrush a small gap is enough for the paint to run underneath
• after spraying, lift the masks off only once the paint has dried properly

The set holds painting masks only. The base Meng kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
