The basic mask set from the Czech manufacturer New Ware for plastic models of the delta-wing fighter F4D-1 Skyray. The set is made of kabuki tape and in the BASIC level it holds masks for the cockpit glazing, the other clear parts and the wheels. Thanks to the pre-cut shapes you get crisp frames without laborious cutting directly on the model.
The Douglas F4D-1 Skyray was an American carrier fighter and interceptor of the 1950s with a prominent delta wing. It was the first carrier-based machine of the US Navy able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight, and at the time it came into being it held several speed records. It was later redesignated F-6A. The single-seat cockpit with its clearly readable framing is a rewarding feature for masking.
Apply the masks onto a degreased and smooth finish. The pre-cut parts fit the frames exactly, so there is no need to cut anything with a knife. Kabuki tape adapts to curved surfaces and once the work is done it can be removed without adhesive residue. Cover large open areas with ordinary tape or film before spraying.
This is a masking accessory, not an airplane model. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
