1:72 Mask Su-7U (MSVIT)

New Ware masking set - Su-7U, 1:72

A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks of fine kabuki (washi) tape from the Czech manufacturer New Ware, intended for plastic models of the Soviet two-seat Sukhoi Su-7U trainer in 1:72 scale. The masks give a sharp and clean separation of colors on the cockpit glazing.

What the set contains

Masks for the outer surfaces of the cockpit glazing, any other clear parts and the landing gear wheels. The precisely cut shapes follow the frames, so an airbrush and basic care are all that is needed.

The real subject

The Su-7U is the two-seat trainer version of the Soviet Sukhoi Su-7 jet fighter-bomber with a swept wing. It served to train pilots of the Fitter family and was deployed with a number of air forces of the Warsaw Pact states and beyond.

Use and tips

• Apply them onto a clean, degreased surface and press the edges down.
• Kabuki tape adapts well to the curved surfaces of the cockpit.
• Once painted, take the masks off carefully and in good time.

Who the set is for

• Builders of Soviet jet aircraft in 1:72 scale.
• Modelers who want sharp lines on the cockpit frames.
• Anyone who wants to save themselves slow masking.

This is an accessory for masking, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
