1:72 McDonnell-Douglas FGR.2 Phantom Pt 8 in special markings

Xtradecal 1:72 Phantom FGR.2 - Part 8, special markings (decals)

A sheet set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the British maker Xtradecal. It concentrates on the eye-catching and unusual schemes of FGR.2 Phantoms, typically commemorative, anniversary and celebratory finishes. Meant for plastic models of the Phantom FGR.2 in this scale; the kit and the paints are not included in the package.

The real subject

FGR.2 is the British fighter and attack version of the Phantom II (factory F-4M) with Rolls-Royce Spey engines. From time to time British squadrons used striking anniversary finishes on it, which turned an ordinary machine into an eye-catching model for a display case.

Use

• Apply large colored markings in one piece and smooth them down carefully, so that no air bubbles remain.
• Work over gloss varnish and use softener and water.
• Go over the finished decals with clear varnish to the gloss you want.

Who the set is for

• Modelers who want a striking machine that cannot be missed
• Collectors of commemorative and celebratory schemes
• Builders of British FGR.2 Phantoms
