The set holds colored self-adhesive 3D decals for the cockpit interior of the Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet rocket fighter in the B and S versions in 1:72 scale. These are raised details printed on a flexible film, including the instrument panel, the panels and the controls, which are applied as a decal and take the place of painting the cockpit by hand. The set is intended for matching plastic models of this aircraft.
The Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet was a German rocket-powered interceptor of the Second World War with a tailless layout and an extraordinary rate of climb. The combat version Me 163 B had a rocket engine; the S version was an unpowered training glider for practicing the landing. The cockpit, small yet broken up, is a rewarding place for detailing with decals.
Lift the parts off the carrier film and stick them onto clean, degreased interior surfaces; the flexible film follows the shapes. Work with tweezers and light pressure. The interior thus gains realistic depth without the dials being painted by hand.
The decals are an accessory to a model. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
