Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the M3 medium tank in the British Grant Mk I pattern in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mirage Hobby. The package holds plastic frames, a decal sheet and building instructions, and the boxing is devoted to the machines of the British 8th Army in North Africa in 1942. The model is built as a classic injection-molded kit and is supplied unpainted.
The M3 medium tank came about as a quick answer to the shortage of armor with a 75 mm gun. It therefore carried the main weapon in a sponson on the right side of the hull, while a 37 mm gun sat in the rotating turret. The British version known as the Grant differed from the American Lee pattern in a revised turret without the superstructure carrying the commander's machine gun cupola, which lowered the overall height of the vehicle. The Grant proved itself above all in supporting infantry, and in the North African campaign it could fire high explosive shells effectively at medium range.
Assemble and paint the running gear first, as in such a cramped scale it is harder to reach once the hull is closed. The tall outline of the vehicle needs clean seams on the sides of the hull, so sand and polish the joints. A desert camouflage looks good with modulation of the shade, pick the edges out dry and work light dust pigments into the underside of the hull. Varnish the areas with gloss clear coat before the decals and finally unify the surface with matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
