The detail set MH-53J engine in 1:72 scale from Black Dog concerns the engine section of the Pave Low special operations helicopter and adds to a separately obtained model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory relates to the engine area of the model and assumes that you are already building the helicopter from a plastic kit. Do not look for the helicopter itself in the package; the point of the set is to replace the simplified shape on the model with a more thoroughly shaped assembly in the place the viewer looks at first when the panels are open.
The MH-53J was among the heaviest machines the US Air Force used for special operations. It came about by rebuilding an older rescue version and received a terrain-following radar, a night observation system and precise navigation so that it could fly low over the ground at night and in poor visibility. A fuselage with a retractable refueling probe and side pylons for auxiliary fuel tanks gave it a range other helicopters of the day did not have.
Deal with the engine area right at the start, while the fuselage halves are still free and can be reached from every side. An interior in a darker shade with the edges lightly picked out looks more faithful than an evenly sprayed surface. Use soot and traces of leaking fluids sparingly, because exaggerated dirt around the exhausts quickly looks unconvincing.
The kit itself and the paints have to be obtained separately.
