This is a colored photo-etched detail set, not a kit. The Weekend designation hints that it is a simplified, quickly usable set aimed mainly at the cockpit of a model of the MiG-15 jet fighter in 1:72 scale. The color-printed parts bring a realistic instrument panel and seat belts without the need for laborious painting.
The MiG-15 was a Soviet jet fighter of the late 1940s, one of the most widespread and most significant machines of its day. It made its name in the Korean War and served in dozens of countries. The cockpit with its colored instruments and belts is clearly visible with the canopy open, so a detail set tells markedly.
The colored etched parts are applied without any further overpainting; it is enough to separate them, bend them gently if need be and glue them with a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue or with glue for photo-etch. The color layer does not take aggressive thinners, so handle them carefully and apply matte varnish only lightly.
The accessory is supplied unassembled. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
