Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet MiG-21 supersonic fighter (NATO code name Fishbed) in 1:72 scale from Academy. The model captures the slim lightweight fighter with its delta wing and circular nose air intake, with engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit and clear canopy parts. The exact contents and markings depend on the particular boxing.
The MiG-21 was designed at the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau as a light supersonic interceptor. Thanks to its simple design, low cost and good performance it became the most widely built supersonic fighter in history: it served with the Soviet Air Force and in dozens of countries across several continents, and it became a symbol of Cold War fighter technology. It was used in many conflicts from the 1960s onward.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, fill the seams and sand them smooth. Paint the cockpit interior before you close up the fuselage. Apply a gloss clear coat before the decals; the typical Soviet finishes, whether natural metal or camouflage, are best completed with a panel line wash and light airbrushed wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
