About product

MiG-21 seat 1:72 (Eduard)

This is a resin detail set, not an aircraft kit. It contains a 3D printed ejection seat for a model of the supersonic MiG-21 fighter in 1:72 scale. The part faithfully renders the structure of the seat, the harness and the controls and markedly improves the look of the cockpit compared with the simplified plastic part.

The real subject

The MiG-21 was one of the most widespread supersonic fighters in history, operated by dozens of countries over many decades. The cockpit with its prominent ejection seat is clearly visible even in a small scale, so a faithful seat noticeably raises the overall level of a model.

Tips for working with resin

Wash the part to remove print resin residue, separate it from the print support and clean it up gently. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). It is worth painting the seat before it goes into the fuselage and bringing the harness and the details out with a dry brush.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers of fighters in 1:72 who want a realistic cockpit
  • Anyone interested in a faithful ejection seat
  • Builders used to working with resin in the small scale

The set is an accessory, not an aircraft model. It contains neither the aircraft nor glue nor paints and is meant to be fitted to the matching base model.
