MiG-21MF airbrakes 1:72 is a resin set of airbrakes. It is a detail accessory from Eduard, not a standalone model.

The set brings precisely cast airbrakes for models of the MiG-21MF fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a resin accessory that replaces or supplements the airbrake panels of the base model and lets you show them in the extended position with faithful detail in the bays. Paints, glue and the aircraft model are not included.
The MiG-21MF was one of the most widespread versions of the legendary second-generation Soviet fighter. The airbrakes on the underside of the fuselage served to reduce speed quickly during maneuvering and the approach. On closed plastic parts they tend to be molded retracted, which makes this set the key to opening them and showing their internal structure.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. If you want the airbrakes extended, the original molded panels have to be cut out of the plastic part and the resin bay inserts glued in. Bond the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The interior of the bays and the panels are painted according to the period scheme of the particular machine.
