It is not a stand-alone airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic parts with more accurate castings and improves the overall silhouette of a model.
The MiG-21 was a supersonic fighter with a delta wing whose MF version was among the widely built configurations. The spine of the fuselage and the joint with the tail section are prominently visible areas whose correct shape markedly affects the fidelity of the finished model. The set refines those areas for the particular MF version.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways while sanding. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before gluing, check carefully how the castings follow on from the plastic parts of the fuselage and adjust the mating faces if needed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
