The set brings an accurately cast ejection seat for models of the MiG-21MF fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a resin accessory that replaces the simple seat from the base kit with a faithful substitute including pre-formed, color-printed photo-etched parts (the seat belts, for instance). Paints, glue and the aircraft model are not included.
The MiG-21MF was one of the most widespread versions of this second-generation Soviet fighter. The ejection seat is one of the most conspicuous elements of an open cockpit, and its detail markedly lifts the overall impression of a model, especially when it is displayed with the canopy slid back.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting block and sand the surface with respiratory protection. Bond the seat with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The pre-formed colored photo-etched belts only need to be fitted carefully and secured with a drop of cyanoacrylate. The body of the seat is painted according to the period scheme, while the belts already carry a factory print.
