This is a resin detail set from the Brassin range, not an aircraft model. It replaces the plastic engine exhaust nozzle with a faithfully cast resin version with sharp detail on the petals and the inner geometry. You fit the set to a model of the MiG-21MF in 1:72 scale that is already under construction and noticeably raise the realism of the rear fuselage.
The exhaust nozzle of a jet engine is a prominently visible place, which injection-molded plastic tends to simplify. A resin casting captures the fine petals and the walls of the duct far more accurately. Small photo-etched parts for finishing the detail are usually included as well.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean the surfaces up. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate); sand the resin with respiratory protection. The inside of the nozzle takes metallic shades well, with the heat discoloration picked out afterwards.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
