A plastic kit of the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-25 Foxbat (Hasegawa) in 1:72 scale: the fast Soviet interceptor.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the fast Soviet interceptor in 1:72 scale from Hasegawa. It captures the massive MiG-25 Foxbat with its two vertical fins, boxy air intakes and large engine nacelles. The box holds parts in gray plastic with engraved panel lines, a clear canopy, a cockpit and a decal sheet. The model builds as a classic kit suited to more experienced beginners and to seasoned builders.
The MiG-25 was a Soviet interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft designed for extremely high speed and ceiling, so that it could catch fast-flying targets and reconnaissance machines. It was powered by two powerful turbojets, and the structure made extensive use of steel to withstand the aerodynamic heating at high speeds. The interceptor versions carried a large radar and long-range air-to-air missiles. During the Cold War the Foxbat was among the fastest combat aircraft in series service.
First finish and paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays, and only then close the fuselage. Use liquid cement for plastic, primer and an airbrush; mask the clear canopy before painting and glue the stores with a light touch. Spray the large fuselage and wing surfaces in thin coats for an even shade; Soviet camouflage and metal schemes alike come alive with gentle transitions, a wash into the engraved lines and a discreet patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
