This is not an airplane model but a detail accessory in resin from Eduard. The set replaces the kit wheels on MiG-29 models in 1:72 scale. It contains main and nose wheels with finely rendered tire tread and hubs that have a realistic flattening at the point of contact with the ground.
The MiG-29 is a Soviet, later Russian, twin-engine fourth-generation frontline fighter, used from the 1980s by a number of air forces around the world. Its robust landing gear with characteristic wheels allowed operation even from less prepared surfaces. Accurately cast wheels with a faithful tread raise the realism of a model on the ground markedly.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection, then glue the parts with cyanoacrylate. Spray the tires in matte dark gray, the hubs in a shade according to the particular version, and at the end a light dusting with pigments gives an impression of service.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; these are resin parts for completing a plastic model. Glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package.
