Peewit 1:72 Mikoyan MiG-17F — masking set for the cockpit

This is a set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks for a model of the Soviet MiG-17F fighter in 1:72 scale. It is neither a model of an aircraft nor decals but an accessory that covers the clear areas of the cockpit canopy and leaves only the narrow frames to be sprayed exposed. The masks are die-cut to fit the shape of the cockpit, so cutting tape directly on the part is done away with.

Use

• Lift the masks carefully off the carrier film and transfer them onto cleaned and degreased glazing.
• Press them down with a wooden stick or a blunt toothpick so that they adhere well to the edges of the frames and no paint runs under them.
• Spray the interior shade of the cockpit first, then the outer covering color; apply airbrush coats thinly.
• Lift the masks off while the paint is still fresh, so that the edge of the finish does not tear.

It will be appreciated by modelers who want clean, sharp cockpit frames without cutting tape by hand. Suitable for building the MiG-17F jet fighter, on which the cockpit glazing is clearly visible.

The set holds masking templates only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
