A set of photo-etched parts for a model of the Mikoyan MiG-25PD interceptor fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-25 arose as an answer to opponents flying fast and high. It is a large twin-engine aircraft with angular shapes, built rather for speed and altitude than for agility, and its airframe structure holds a lot of steel against the usage of the time. Version PD is the modernized interceptor treatment with improved equipment for finding a target.
Photo-etched parts for a model of the MiG-25PD in 1:72 scale. Photo-etch is thin metal sheet into which the shapes of the parts and the grooves for the bends are etched. It is precisely for this reason that the added elements look more convincing than the same shapes in plastic, which in a small scale is always appreciably thicker. The extent of the set, the placement of the individual parts and the kit the set is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Put a hard surface under a part and separate it with a sharp blade, not by breaking it out, otherwise it will twist. Level the remainder of a tab with a fine file. Lead the bends along the etched grooves, best in a bender or between two straight blades, and finish them in one movement. It is glued with superglue applied in a minute quantity, which you transfer with the tip of a toothpick. Degrease the surfaces beforehand. Parts with which the instructions assume painting should first be given a base coat.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
