A resin conversion set from the Aires company in 1:72 scale. It makes it possible to build the Mistel composite combination in the version 2 form from base kits. The set contains the parts for joining the carrier and the guiding machine; the base models themselves are not included and have to be bought separately. The accessory is intended for more experienced modelers.
The Mistel was a German composite aircraft of the Second World War. The lower unmanned machine was filled with an explosive charge, while the upper manned aircraft guided the combination and separated from it before the target. In the Mistel 2 version the lower part was a Junkers Ju 88 long-range bomber and the upper part a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter. The combination was developed in the late phase of the war.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue and separate them from the casting blocks with a saw. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with respiratory protection. The key point is the exact alignment of the supporting structure between the two machines, so work with a dry fit and mind the geometry of the joint.
