A set of painting masks for a model of the Japanese aircraft Mitsubishi Ki-51 Sonia in 1:72 scale, relating to the moving surfaces.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi Ki-51 was a Japanese army aircraft of the period of the Second World War, used for attacks on ground targets and for reconnaissance. It was a single-engined low-wing monoplane with a fixed undercarriage and a crew of two. Among the Allies the code name Sonia became established for it.
Painting masks for a model of the Ki-51 in 1:72 scale. The set relates to the moving surfaces of the aircraft, that is to the elevator and the rudder, the ailerons and the flaps. The exact extent of the set, the placing of the individual pieces and the kit it is intended for are stated in the manufacturer's instructions; follow them when sticking the masks on as well.
The masks are applied to a finished and dried surface before further spraying, never after it. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand, otherwise the mask will not hold and the paint will run underneath. Press the edges down with a blunt tip once the mask is stuck on. Spray the paint in several thin layers, so that no step forms at the edge of the mask. Peel the masks off while the paint is freshly dried, and pull them back over themselves at a shallow angle. If the edge is left imperfect, it can be evened out by careful polishing with a very fine sponge.
The set is suitable for modelers who are building the Ki-51 in 1:72 scale and want sharp transitions on the moving surfaces, without the lengthy cutting out of tape.
The model, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
