A sheet of water-slide decals of the Kits-World brand in 1:72 scale, intended for a model of the B-25H Mitchell version. This is not a kit but an accessory with which a model is finished. The motifs are printed on a transparent carrier film and are cut from the sheet individually.
Version H differed markedly from the early glazed forms of the Mitchell: it was given a solid unglazed nose with heavy gun armament and further gun armament in the sides of the fuselage. With that a medium bomber became an attack machine for low passes over ground and naval targets. Machines of this version flew above all in the Pacific area and their markings tended to be striking, including extensive artwork on the fuselage.
Large-area motifs, typical precisely of the Mitchells, need a different procedure from small national insignia. Clear coat the area with gloss clear beforehand and check that it is completely smooth, since every speck of dust under a large decal will show as a visible bump. Transfer the decal to the model across its whole area at once, press the excess water out from the center toward the edges with a soft cloth or a cotton bud and only then fine-tune the position. If the motif runs across an engraved line or a row of rivets, help yourself with softener and, once dry, possibly run the tip of a scalpel gently along the line.
The package contains decals only. The kit, paints and clear coats are not part of it.
