A 3D-printed resin detail set of the Brassin range for experienced modelers. It is NOT a standalone model but an accessory that adds a complete engine with the matching cowlings to the North American P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:72 scale. Direct 3D printing gives fine detail to both the engine and the cowlings, so the engine can be displayed uncovered, showing off a compartment that the plastic kit handles only in a simplified way.
The P-51D Mustang was a first-rate American long-range fighter of the Second World War, powered by a liquid-cooled Packard V12 (a license-built Rolls-Royce Merlin). A faithful engine is therefore an attractive thing to show under an opened cowling.
Separate the parts from the print supports, wash the print resin residue off them and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Apply primer before painting; weather the engine with a wash and a dry brush. The cowlings can be fitted either open or closed. Check the compatibility with your own plastic P-51D kit in 1:72.
This is a resin detail set, not a model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
