A glazing mask for the 1:72 OV-10D Bronco defines the frames of the extensive cockpit of the observation and light attack aircraft. The stencils are cut to the glazing of the ICM kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The cockpit of the Bronco is glazed literally on all sides and during spraying it represents the greatest hold-up of the whole build. Shaped stencils settle it at one go and the frames get the same width along their whole length. The crew seats are set ahead of the booms, so the cockpit space is visible from below as well. The shapes of the stencils are based on the clear parts of the ICM kit.
The Bronco came about for reconnaissance, for directing air support and for short-range strikes from makeshift strips. A pair of turboprop engines, booms running to the tail surfaces and a short takeoff gave it the ability to work close to the battlefield. The OV-10D form received a lengthened nose with an observation system for working in the dark and is linked above all with the US Marine Corps. Tough landing gear allowed operation from grass strips not far from the front.
On this type the interior deserves more work than usual, because light comes through it from every angle and unfinished details cannot be hidden. Lay the cockpit color on before you cover the glazing. During the spraying itself, hold the nozzle further from the edge and rather add an extra coat than lay on one heavy one. Protect the clear parts from sanding; scratches in clear material can no longer be put right.
