Self-adhesive masks for spraying the markings and national insignia of the OV-10D Bronco aircraft in 1:72 scale. Cut for the ICM kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco is an American observation and light attack aircraft with a pair of tail booms and a short fuselage nacelle. The markings on it sit on areas that are clearly visible: on the sides of the fuselage, on the booms and on the wing. An insignia laid on inaccurately therefore catches the eye on a model at once.
The set serves for spraying the markings and national insignia instead of decals. According to the name it is cut for the ICM kits in 1:72 scale; with another kit, check by laying it on beforehand whether the sizes and the spacing match.
Wash the surface under the mask, degrease it and let it dry. Apply the mask to a finished colored base before spraying the insignia and press the edges down carefully. Multicolored insignia are sprayed coat by coat; the order of the steps is in the manufacturer's instructions, and let the paint set between coats. Spray in short bursts and lightly, so that no ridge forms under the edge of a mask. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, pulling at a slight angle to the surface.
The set suits modelers who want the markings as part of the finish, and that on areas with rivets and seams as well, where a decal likes to silver. A sprayed insignia can moreover be dusted and worn along with the rest of the finish without worry. This is an accessory: the kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
