Eduard P-40M/N masks 1:72 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the American P-40 Warhawk fighter. It gives sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is meant for a plastic model of the American Curtiss P-40 Warhawk fighter in the late M and N versions. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without slow hand-cutting of tape.
The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War with a liquid-cooled Allison V12 engine and a characteristic radiator under the nose. The late M and N versions were among the most widely built and the lightest batches, and the N version was lightened to improve performance. The machine served with Allied air forces all over the world.
Degrease the canopy glazing and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windscreen and on the sliding section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at an acute angle. The set also makes it easier to lay down sharp edges on the camouflage fields.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
