It is not an aircraft kit but a set of precisely cast landing gear wheels that will replace the simpler plastic wheels from the kit. The casting faithfully reproduces the lightened variant of the 27-inch wheels with the diamond tread pattern of the tire.
The wheels are one of the most visible parts of a model, and swapping them for a resin casting clearly raises the level of detail: cleanly engraved spokes of the hub and a three-dimensional tire tread pattern. The diamond tread is typical of exactly the late versions of the P-40. The accessory is intended for more experienced modelers.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is practical to paint the hub and the tire separately, and a light dusting with pigments comes in useful at the end.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
