Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Republic P-47C Thunderbolt fighter in its early form with a razorback fuselage spine, in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Kovozavody Prostejov. It is a new tool aimed at the P-47C variant, which has been overlooked so far and which most makers skipped in favor of the later P-47D. The package holds plastic sprues, a clear canopy part and a decal sheet; check the exact contents and the number of marking options against the particular box.
The P-47 Thunderbolt was among the largest and heaviest single-engine fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine with a turbocharger, thanks to which it excelled at high altitude and in a dive. Among other things the P-47C introduced a longer forward fuselage and changes for carrying an auxiliary fuel tank, which increased its range. The Thunderbolt proved itself as an escort fighter and as a feared fighter-bomber.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint the cockpit interior and pick out its detail before closing the fuselage, and mask the clear glazing before spraying. Lay a primer and the colors with an airbrush, apply the decals over a gloss clear coat and bring out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
