This resin set casts the barrels of the wing machine guns for a model of the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt in 1:72 scale exactly. It is a detail accessory for a kit, not a standalone model. The thin castings replace the plastic barrels, which tend to be thicker and less accurate.
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was the most widespread version of the American heavy fighter of the Second World War. In the wings it carried a battery of heavy machine guns whose barrels projected from the leading edge. It is exactly these thin items that are hard to cast in plastic at a small scale.
Wash the parts to remove mold release, cut them off the casting blocks and clean them up. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection while sanding resin. Recommended to modelers with experience of resin accessories.
The detail accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
