P-47D Thunderbolt propeller Curtiss 13ft with a jig (1:72, Quickboost) is a resin accessory that replaces the plastic propeller for models of the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt.

This is NOT an airplane model but a set of precisely cast resin parts of the Quickboost brand in 1:72 scale. It replaces the plastic propeller with a faithfully shaped Curtiss Electric replacement 13 feet in diameter and gives a model of the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt the correct shape of the broad blades. A jig for setting and gluing the blades precisely is included.
Later Thunderbolts received broader, so-called paddle blades of the Curtiss Electric propeller with a larger diameter, which improved the rate of climb and the use of the power of the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine. The larger 13-foot propeller changes the silhouette of the nose of the aircraft markedly. This variant matches a blade 13 feet long.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. The jig supplied keeps the blades on one axis and evenly spaced; glue them together with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Do the sanding with respiratory protection. The blades are usually sprayed black with polished tips.
Supplied as an unpainted resin accessory with an assembly jig. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
