Injection-molded plastic kit of the North American P-51C Mustang fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov. The model consists of injection-molded plastic parts and a one-piece blown cockpit canopy, rounded out by a decal sheet. The exact make-up of the contents is given in the enclosed instructions.
The P-51 Mustang was an American single-seat fighter famous for its long range, which made it possible to escort bombers to deep rear-area targets. The P-51B and P-51C versions were the early generation of Mustangs with the license-built Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and the characteristic framed cockpit canopy. The letters B and C distinguished the production plant.
Cut the smaller parts away with a sharp blade and clean them up. Paint the cockpit and fit it before you join the fuselage halves. Both natural metal areas and color camouflage spray best with an airbrush over a smooth, primed surface. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat and finally even out the surface to suit the character of the aircraft. The one-piece canopy can be masked with liquid mask or with narrow tape.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
