1:72 P-51D-10 Mustang LööKplus brings a finished instrument panel, a printed seat and gunsights for a model of a later production block of the Mustang.
Responsibility details are not available.
This Eduard package replaces the parts of the cockpit that are most visible on a small 1:72 model. It contains a pre-painted resin panel with steel belts, a printed pilot's seat and gunsights. The fighter kit itself is a separate item.
Mustangs of the D version were built in several production blocks, which differed from one another in small details of the cockpit fit and of the airframe. Eduard therefore releases its own sets for the individual blocks, so that the panel matches what a given machine really had in front of the pilot. Anyone building a particular aircraft from a photograph or from the markings in the box will appreciate being able to choose the variant matching his block.
The panel is fitted without varnishing over it, otherwise the markings will be lost. Cut the seat off its printing support with a sharp knife and level the surface so that it seats flat on the cockpit floor. Fit everything before you glue the fuselage together and put the canopy on.
For modelers who build Mustangs in the small scale and want to distinguish the individual production blocks, and for those looking for a quick route to a legible cockpit.
The production block of a particular machine is most reliably traced from the serial number given in the instructions or on a period photograph. Without it, it easily happens that the panel does not match the markings you put on the model.
