About product

IBG 1:72 painting masks for the Su-27P

A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:72 scale from the firm IBG. It is not a model but an accessory that makes painting the glazing and the wheels faster and more precise. The masks follow the shape of the canopy frames exactly, so the slow business of cutting masking tape falls away.

Use

  • Stick the mask onto a clean, degreased canopy, press it against the frames and smooth the edges down.
  • Apply the paint in thin coats with an airbrush or a brush; the masks protect the clear areas against bleeding.
  • Masks for the wheels are usually included as well, so the tire can be cleanly separated from the hub.
  • Once the paint is dry, lift the masks off carefully.

Who it is for

  • Builders of the Su-27P model in 1:72 scale who want clean canopy frames.
  • Modelers who do not get on with masking by hand with tape.

This is a stand-alone accessory. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
