Clear Prop Polikarpov R-1 1:72 is a detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet biplane for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit from Clear Prop represents the Soviet Polikarpov R-1 reconnaissance and light bomber biplane. It is a finely worked model in a version for advanced builders, with richly detailed plastic parts, clear parts and etched details. The package also contains decals for several marking options.
The Polikarpov R-1 was a Soviet multipurpose biplane used in the 1920s for reconnaissance and light bombing. Its design derived from the British de Havilland D.H.9A biplane and it became one of the first series-produced aircraft of the Soviet aviation industry. For a long time it formed the backbone of the equipment of reconnaissance units.
Given the number of fine parts and etched details we recommend the build to more experienced modelers. Glue the plastic with liquid cement and the etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. On a biplane, pay attention to seating the upper wing and the struts exactly. Apply a primer before painting and spray the period finish with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
