The Eduard color photo-etch for the Polikarpov U-2/Po-2VS in 1:72 scale adds pre-printed instrument panels, belts and interior details. It is not a kit, but an accessory for a model of this legendary biplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is NOT a kit. It is a set of photo-etched metal parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard intended for detailing a plastic model of the Soviet biplane Polikarpov U-2 (later designated Po-2) in 1:72 scale. Some of the parts are pre-printed in color and self-adhesive, so the instrument panels and the safety belts are finished without painting; the rest are metal details of the cockpit and the airframe.
The Polikarpov U-2/Po-2 was a simple biplane of mixed construction that came about at the end of the 1920s as a trainer and multipurpose machine. In the Second World War it became famous as a light night bomber and a liaison aircraft; its slow flight and low noise made it a difficult target. It was built in enormous numbers and served for decades.
Separate the color self-adhesive parts carefully and transfer them into place. Separate the other etched parts with a knife and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The fine tubular and truss elements of the biplane call for calm and good lighting, ideally with fine-tipped tweezers.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
