The subject is a light aircraft of the Praga marque, one of the types that belong to Czech aviation history and that you will not find in the range of the large manufacturers. The word Diesel in the name refers to the guise with a compression-ignition engine.
Praga was the marque of a Prague engineering works that built light aircraft as well as aero engines in the interwar period. The types of the E series were small machines for training, sport and liaison duties, built simply and with low running demands in mind. Diesel power was untypical in this class of aircraft, and that is exactly what makes the subject interesting: it is a technically remarkable sidetrack rather than a widely produced machine.
Short-run molds have no locating pins, so mark the position of the parts dry and strengthen the joints with a strip of plastic from inside if need be. Cut the gates off at a distance and true the surface up with a file. A small model forgives little: it pays off to fill and sand the fuselage joint carefully and to adjust the seating of the wing, so that the dihedral is right. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage up and mask the glazing. Give the undercoat a primer; on light aircraft with fabric covering suggest the structure only gently, so that the model does not look coarse. Coat with a gloss varnish before the decals and choose the final layer according to the surface of the real aircraft.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
