This kit from the Ukrainian maker UM captures the Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) light tank in its Ausf. G version in 1:72 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model with photo-etched parts added; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The 38(t) tank was based on a Czechoslovak light tank developed by the CKD company (designated LT vz. 38). After the occupation of Czechoslovakia the German army took it over in large numbers, where it served as the Panzerkampfwagen 38(t). The Ausf. G version was one of the later production reworks with thicker armor. The vehicle proved itself above all in the early part of the war, and its reliable chassis later became the basis for a whole range of tank destroyers and self-propelled guns.
Assemble and clean up the running gear with its large road wheels before you close the hull. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic and glue the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. You will bring the detail to life with a dark wash in the recesses and dust and mud pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
