1:72 PZL P.11b Early (K-Series) is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Polish fighter in 1:72 scale from the maker IBG.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Polish maker IBG has had the PZL P.11 in its program for a long time and releases individual variants and production batches as separate boxes. This one concerns the early P.11b version, designated K series in the name. It is a classic injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale, that is a model that is built, glued and painted with ordinary modeling methods.
The PZL P.11 was an all-metal high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear and a radial engine, marked by its gull wing, which was narrowed and raised at the root so that the pilot had a view forward and upward. In its day it was among the leading edge of fighter development and became the main fighter of the Polish Air Force of the 1930s. The P.11b designation was carried by the export batch delivered to Romania, where license production of a further version later followed on from it.
The model has a small interior that is partly visible once the cockpit is closed, so it pays to paint it before the fuselage is closed up. On a high-wing monoplane with struts it is essential to proceed patiently and to let the glue cure before you put any load on the structure. Use liquid cement for plastic applied by capillary action into the seams. Apply a primer before painting, which will at the same time reveal joints left unsanded. The metal surface of these aircraft responds well to fine panel accenting and a slight wear of the edges at the wing root and around the cockpit.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
