The 1:72 PZL.37A Los cockpit painting masks are a set of pre-cut masks for spraying the glazing of the model in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer IBG models.

This is not an aircraft model and not its parts, but a set of pre-cut painting masks. They are there so that the frames of the glazing can be sprayed with a sharp edge and without the laborious cutting of strips of adhesive tape. The masks are cut for the particular shape of the glazing of the PZL.37A Los bomber in 1:72 scale.
Masking a cockpit by hand is one of the most tedious parts of the build on a multi-seat aircraft. The PZL.37 had extensive glazing in the nose, a pilot cockpit and a rear gunner station, so there are many frames and they are irregular. Pre-cut masks shorten that work from hours to minutes and, above all, make sure all the frames come out the same width. A further benefit is a cleaner paint transition: paint does not creep under a well-pressed mask and no ragged edge appears, which could otherwise be put right only by polishing back and spraying again.
Degrease the glazing first and let it dry completely, because a mask holds badly on a greasy surface. Separate the masks from the sheet with the tip of a scalpel or with tweezers, not with a fingernail. Lay each part on dry, check its position and only then press it down over its whole area, above all along the edges. Apply the paint in several thin coats, because a heavy coat likes to creep underneath. Spray the interior color first, then the undercoat of the outer finish and finally the camouflage, and the frames will then look believable from both sides. Take the masks off as soon as the paint has set, not after it has cured completely, or the finish may be pulled away.
The set holds painting masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
